Central platform for greater accessibility

There are numerous initiatives that collect and publish accessibility information. Ginto combines leading software solutions and existing data on a central platform.

Ginto for everyone

Ginto was originally developed for people with mobility disabilities. Since summer 2025, important criteria for people with visual or hearing disabilities can also be recorded and published with the help of Ginto.

Zugänglichkeit von Gesundheitseinrichtungen

Gesundheitseinrichtungen werden täglich von Menschen mit Behinderungen sowie von Personen mit temporären Mobilitätseinschränkungen - beispielweise nach Verletzungen oder im Alter - besucht. Deshalb ist es wichtig, dass genau diese Lokalitäten zugänglich sind.

Make special offers visible

The Cerebral Foundation offers special offers throughout Switzerland, such as ice gliders or all-terrain electric wheelchairs for people with disabilities. These offers can now also be found in the Ginto database.

Working elevators

Knowing in good time whether an elevator is working can be decisive for people who travel in wheelchairs. Ginto is therefore committed to ensuring that the operating conditions of public elevators are available as open data.

Basel organizes major inclusive events

The World Looked to Basel in 2025: With the Eurovision Song Contest ESC in May and the UEFA Women's Euro in July, two major international events took place in Basel. Volunteers collected information on the accessibility of locations in advance.

Museumsnacht Bern focuses on inclusion

In the run-up to Museum Night Bern 2025, participating Bernese cultural institutions collected their accessibility information with Ginto. In doing so, they make access to their museum visible to people with disabilities.

AXA Corporate Volunteering

As part of the AXA Corporate Volunteering Program “AXA from Heart to Heart”, employees from AXA Switzerland collect information on the accessibility of cafés, restaurants and pharmacies in and around Winterthur.

Fred Tschanz Hotels focus on transparency

The Fred Tschanz Group focuses on transparency: With the help of Ginto, it can now provide its customers with detailed information on the accessibility of their hotels. A small gesture with a big impact.

Swiss tourism sets a good example

Tourism providers want to communicate accessibility information as naturally as their opening times. As part of the OK:GO initiative, they immediately collect this information themselves.

Para-Cycling World Championships Zurich 2024

The 2024 UCI Cycling and Para-Cycling Road World Championships in Zurich set new standards for inclusive major events. In May 2024, information on the accessibility of Zurich restaurants, hotels and tram stops was collected with Ginto as part of a mapathon.

Accessible mobility

Ginto helps transport companies provide information on the accessibility of train stations and stops as well as on designing public transport for people with disabilities.
