Accessible mobility
Ginto helps transport companies provide information on the accessibility of train stations and stops as well as on designing public transport for people with disabilities.
Accessibility of train stations and stops
Switzerland is committed to ensuring that people with disabilities can also use public transport spontaneously and independently. As part of the so-called “BEHIG inventory” (the abbreviation BeHIG stands for the Disability Equality Act), information is collected on the accessibility of all train stations and stops in Switzerland. These must be constantly updated.
The Federal Act on the Elimination of Disadvantages for People with Disabilities (BeHIG, SR 151.3) of December 13, 2002 and the associated Ordinance on Disability Accessibility of Public Transport (VBöV, SR 151.34) require licensed public transport companies to inventory the accessibility of all public transport stops in Switzerland.

BeHIG (atlas) - collected by Ginto

Ginto supports public transport in meeting legal requirements in accordance with BeHIG. Ginto takes care of the entire project management — from planning to implementation and monitoring to sustainable data management. This also includes data collection on site by trained recorders. The technical basis is the Ginto data platform. The data relevant to BeHIG is then automatically transferred to the service documentation (atlas, DidOK) via an interface (API).
