Capture centrally, publish broadly

There are numerous initiatives to collect and publish accessibility information. However, there is little coordination between these offers and the available information is inconsistent and partly outdated.

Ginto therefore combines the leading software solutions and existing accessibility data on a central platform. In doing so, Ginto focuses on partnerships, a coordinated approach and a standardized data structure. This pooling of resources ensures that accessibility information is collected systematically and consistently. Networking with established booking and event platforms such as accommodataHub by HotellerieSuisse or guidle.com It also increases the visibility of the collected data for target groups.

Working together for more impact

The centralization of existing data platforms and structures is always accompanied by the development of the platform in terms of content and technology. The requirements of the three Sitios founding members Pro Infirmis, AccessibilityGuide association (formerly Ginto) and Swiss Barrier-Free Friends Association as well as other organizations such as Think of Me Foundation, Procap and the Cerebral Foundation were carefully evaluated and considered accordingly. For example, the criteria for collecting information on the accessibility of buildings were jointly defined and harmonized.

Ginto already integrates Paramap data, which provides information on Eurokey locations and wheelchair parking spaces (in collaboration with Swiss Paraplegic Foundation). The integration of data from ZUERST, the accessibility platform of Pro Infirmis. After the integration is complete, the previous systems will be switched off. The data will therefore not be lost, but will in future be available centrally via Ginto and via relevant search and booking platforms from the hotel, catering and event industries.

Ginto's architecture is based on the collection of accessibility data for areas and trails.
