note

The Ginto app was developed specifically for use on mobile phones. But you can also install and use it on a tablet with iOS and Android operating systems.

Professional tip

We recommend that companies that want to register their company independently use a general e-mail address when registering instead of the personal e-mail address of employees. In this way, the user account can continue to be used even in the event of personnel changes (example: info@schweizerhof.ch)

That's what you'll find in this guide:

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a private account and a corporate account?

The company account was developed specifically for companies that want to record the accessibility of their own premises. You can use the company account to assign an entry to yourself and thus be notified of any changes to the entry by third parties. When you enter, it is also shown whether an entry has already been completely entered. A company account is mandatory to participate in the OK:GO initiative. In this mode, the search function is limited and the needs profile is not available. The private account is recommended for private individuals, as it makes it easier to search for locations. Entries can also be created with the private account.

Why don't I get the password reset email?

Please check your spam or junk folder first, as the email may have been redirected there. If you don't find anything there, make sure you've entered the email address correctly and try again. If you still don't receive the email, please let us know. We're happy to help you reset your password manually.

How can I change the language of Ginto?

Ginto is currently available in German, French, Italian and English. By default, Ginto takes over your mobile phone's language settings. The language of Ginto can be changed in the mobile phone settings (Settings > Apps > Ginto > Language). Android requires a restart of the app to activate the new language. The iPhone restarts automatically. Titles, names and comments entered by users are not yet translated.

How do I find Ginto in the App Store?

Ginto is available in app stores in Europe and the USA. Since the Ginto team is not sufficiently familiar with the circumstances and legal requirements in Africa, Asia and South America, they are currently focusing on Europe and the USA.
