“Accessibility for all” — that is Ginto's vision. People with disabilities need objective and standardized information about the accessibility of locations, leisure and mobility offers in order to be able to independently plan a trip, a visit to a health facility or a dinner in a restaurant. That is why Ginto collects, publishes and shares detailed and structured information about the accessibility of these offers. In this way, Ginto facilitates participation in leisure and everyday activities and makes a practical contribution to the implementation of the Disability Equality Act and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. At Ginto, the use of funds from foundations and sponsorships is coordinated with the respective organizations. Our tasks and projects are always aimed at the purpose of the association. Managing a professional branch and professional project management from A to Z are a matter of course for us. Together, we create effective results from which society benefits in the long term. The possible uses are diverse: from the advancement of Ginto technology to effective projects that help make Ginto known to people with disabilities and key players from all industries in order to collect, publish and share even more accessibility information.
We are convinced that sharing and working with other organizations is critical to Ginto's success. That is why we attach great importance to networking with everyone who shares our goals. For Ginto to be able to make a lasting impact as a non-profit organization, contributions from foundations and sponsors are essential. Half of our costs are currently covered by the Federal Office for the Equality of People with Disabilities (EBGB). There are also contributions from foundations and companies that invest with us in social sustainability and an accessible Switzerland. It is important for Ginto to make foundations and companies allies for an accessible Switzerland. There is still a lot to do and we are happy to draw up individual partnership agreements based on the focal areas of your foundation or company.
