Provide clear information on accessibility in your tourism region and reach new target groups.
For travellers with disabilities, planning a trip involves hours of research. Staff at hotels, cafés and museums are often unsure how to answer questions about accessibility. Ginto offers a solution: with Ginto, you can record and share objective information about accessibility. This enables people with disabilities to decide for themselves whether a place is suitable for them. This takes the pressure off both guests and businesses alike.
By publishing information on accessibility, you are sending a strong message in support of inclusion. Participation in Ginto is also recognised for tourism businesses under the ‘Swisstainable’ sustainability programme (Level II – engaged, in combination).
Encourage businesses in your region to record and share their accessibility information. Let them know about Ginto via newsletters, events or your website. Support service providers with the data collection process – either financially or by providing staff. You can also share accessibility information by embedding Ginto data directly onto your website via the open data interface, a web map or through discover.swiss. Or become a Ginto ambassador and use Ginto Studio for additional features. This will allow you to keep track of registered venues, create regional reports (e.g. for ‘Swisstainable Destination’) and launch your own registration campaigns.
